Nizar Sarakbi

Bouncy, cheeky, percussive proggy house from Vienna-based Nizar Sarakbi, plus a remix from HearThug that strips things down further. This is the kind of record that doesn't take itself too seriously but absolutely delivers on the dancefloor - loose-limbed grooves built on restless percussion and subtle electro detours rather than four-to-the-floor certainty.

Sarakbi's instinct for space and swing cuts through the tech house clutter. The original tracks breathe; there's air between the drums and the synth work. HearThug's take leans into the electro undertones, making the whole thing feel even more playful and unpredictable.

Sex Tapes From Mars continues mining the intersection of house, electro, and that very Austrian/Central European sensibility toward texture and groove. Essential for anyone after house music that's more workshop than showroom.
