About this record
Dub heads take note. Yay Recordings' 18th outing pairs Deadbeat and Elle on the A-side with Rubinskee handling the flip, two cuts that sit comfortably in the overlap between tech house and dub house.
Ossios delivers the goods here, tracking something that works equally well in the booth and at home. The production favours space and texture over bombast - precisely the kind of record that rewards repeated listens on decent speakers.
Yay Recordings has built a solid reputation out of Milan for this exact aesthetic: stripped-back, purposeful, rooted in actual dub sensibility rather than aesthetic alone. Drama Is A Game fits that trajectory cleanly.
