About this record
Repress alert: 1995 dub techno cornerstone on Basic Channel's Maurizio imprint. Side A runs at 33rpm, side B at 45rpm - an essential DJ tool that's been sought after for years.
M5 remains a defining document of the Maurizio label's approach to minimal, hypnotic dub techno. The variable speed format gives DJs genuine flexibility in the mix, a practical innovation that reflected the label's philosophy of working with the tools at hand rather than against them.
If you've been hunting for this one, now's the time. It holds up.
