Repress alert: landmark 1992 German techno finally back in circulation. This is Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus in their purest form, before Basic Channel crystallised their aesthetic into something else entirely. The 2005 remaster breathes new life into these original cuts without losing the rawness that made them essential.
Ploy (UR Mix) is the standout – hypnotic, minimal, relentless. The kind of track that defined a moment and still holds its weight. Von Oswald and Ernestus were always ahead of the curve, working at the intersection of dub, techno, and something harder to name. This reissue captures that perfectly.
