YNNY

Berlin-based YNNY delivers six dub-infused techno cuts on Planet Rhythm's Dub Wars imprint, pressed to silver vinyl. This is essential stuff - the kind of record that rewards close listening on a proper system.

YNNY has carved out a distinctive space in the city's underground with a production approach that prioritizes space and texture over obvious hooks. The Gradient EP exemplifies this restraint, each track built from carefully layered elements that shift and settle across the running time. Dub's influence runs through everything here, in the echo chambers, the stripped-back breakdowns, and the way drums seem to hang in the mix rather than drive it.

Planet Rhythm's Dub Wars series has become a reliable beacon for techno that takes its roots seriously. This release sits comfortably alongside the label's commitment to depth and durability - records that work equally well in a focused listening session or across several hours at a club. Silver vinyl adds a tangible touch to an already considered package.
