About this record
Personal delivery from our friend Pino Peña. W133 is a Berlin label with never-ending quality releases. This time Pino himself teams up with Rotterdam's samwho on the already sixteenth release of the label. A proper split EP: 2 collabs, 2 solo works spanning proggy techno and percussive breaks.
Peña and samwho complement each other across four tracks that pivot between hypnotic, progression-heavy techno and broken rhythm workouts. The collaborative cuts sit somewhere in between, their shared sensibility evident in the architecture and attention to detail. W133's track record speaks for itself, and this release continues that line of considered, dancefloor-focused material.
Stripped back, functional stuff. No filler. Just what the label does best.
