Underground Resistance built their reputation on uncompromising electronic music that married the mechanical rigour of Detroit techno with the loose, improvisational feel of electro. Dark Energy sits right in that sweet spot, where the label's commitment to raw, unapologetic production meets the kind of durability that keeps records spinning in proper DJ sets nearly two decades on.
This 1994 pressing has aged remarkably well - the kind of record that sounds as vital now as it did in the mid-90s, which is exactly the point. UR didn't chase trends; they set them. Dark Energy is essential.
