About this record
This is classic Kompakt sound - raw, simple, melodic. Track titles like 'Drei Millionen Kölsch' tell you everything about the vibe here: playful, unserious, deeply committed to the groove. T.Raumschmiere and Reinhard Voigt understand that the best techno doesn't need to complicate itself.
Kompakt Extra has always been the label's space for exactly this kind of work - material that strips back the rhetoric and gets straight to the dancefloor logic. Speicher 104 sits in that sweet spot where minimal techno meets actual personality. The production is clean without being clinical; the melodies land without overstaying their welcome.
A proper record for people who actually dance to techno, not just write essays about it.
