Danny Daze & Shokh

Dubby, minimal techno dominates the A-side whilst the B-side ventures into whitenoise-infused, percussive minimal territory. This is the kind of record that rewards close listening - subtle but deliberately constructed, never cluttered.

Danny Daze, Shokh, and Patrice Bäumel craft something distinctly restrained here, working within that Kompakt Extra framework where less is genuinely more. The A-side's dubby approach gives space and weight to each element; the B-side's percussive minimalism sits in that grey zone between silence and sound that defines the label's best work.

Speicher 98 fits squarely into the lineage of deep, considered techno - the sort designed for 4am rather than peak hours, where your ear stays engaged rather than your body simply responding to kicks.
