About this record
Not much to say. Infamous W.I.R. track Wassermann reworked by DJ Hell for Kompakt.
This is a stripped-back techno reinterpretation of a classic, executed with the precision you'd expect from Hell and the Kompakt imprint. The 45 RPM format emphasizes the detail work - every bass nudge, every filtered sweep hits with clarity. It's the kind of remix that respects the original while making something entirely its own.
Kompakt Extra continues its tradition of commissioning high-profile producers to revisit material from the wider W.I.R. catalogue. Hell's version sits somewhere between functional warehouse techno and the deeper, more textural approach Kompakt has championed since the early 2000s.
