About this record
Balearic house classic reworked by Detroit techno legend Derrick May. This is essential listening - the kind of record that justifies the entire concept of the remix.
Sueño Latino's original remains a touchstone of late-80s Balearic house, that sweet spot where Ibiza warmth met production sophistication. May's approach here is characteristically thoughtful: he strips back, re-engineers, and rebuilds with the precision and soul that made him a mentor to generations. The results sit perfectly in that liminal space between house and techno where the best records always seem to live.
Club Culture Rarities have done right by this one - a proper reissue that treats the material with the respect it deserves. If you've been hunting for this, stop hunting.
