Scan 7 built his reputation on uncompromising, stripped-back machine music - the kind that rewards close listening on proper equipment. Resurfaced is a masterclass in economy and intent, where every element serves the function of the whole. This is techno that trusts the dancefloor and the listener in equal measure.
Tresor's 1999 output sits at a particular moment in the label's history: post-reunion Berlin techno infrastructure, but still drawing hard on the Detroit lineage that anchored the label from its inception. This remaster gives the original masters the clarity they deserve, pulling detail from surfaces that had begun to fade. Essential reissue.
