About this record
This is the cornerstone dub techno record from Ernestus and von Oswald, originally 1998 on their own German imprint. Twenty-five minutes of extra long, deep dub rollers across two sides.
Rhythm & Sound defined a sound that moved between Berlin's experimental electronics underground and Jamaica's dub traditions. On Roll Off, that dialogue reaches its fullest expression - stripped-back percussion, cavernous reverb, and bass that moves through space like liquid. This isn't showboating. It's essential listening for anyone serious about dub techno's architecture.
Catalogue RS-03 remains one of the label's most sought-after releases. If you missed the original run, this repress is the version to own.
