Priori

Mojo tip: Priori returns to Richard Akingbehin's Kynant with 9, a set of dubbed-out, eyes-down house and techno that rewards patient listening. Dense grooves unfold methodically across the 12", anchored by the singular Jamaican voice of Gavsborg on the opening track - a choice that immediately sets the emotional tone.

Priori's approach here is textural and restrained. Rather than bombast, there's a commitment to space and echo, the kind of production that reveals itself over repeated spins. At 45 RPM, every detail settles into place: the weight of the low-end, the precision of the drum work, the way effects seem to breathe within the mix.

Kynant has established itself as essential territory for this strain of deep, introspective techno. This record sits naturally within that lineage - music for heads who understand that the best dancefloor moments often arrive quietly, building from restraint rather than immediacy.
