Kynant Records

Kynant Records was founded in 2015 by Richard Akingbehin, a British-Nigerian DJ, writer and radio programmer, and runs out of Berlin.

It began with deep, hypnotic techno and has drifted steadily towards dubwise sounds, taking in early records from the likes of Tensal, Terrence Dixon and Mike Parker along the way.

The label turned ten in 2025 with Paul St. Hilaire's w/ The Producers, which pairs Tikiman with a different producer on every track, from Mala and Shinichi Atobe to Batu, Priori, Cousin, Gavsborg and Azu Tiwaline.

Priori's 9 sits alongside it, dubbed-out, eyes-down house and techno with Gavsborg on the opener, as does Lovegod's Rendezvous, a 2006 Osaka dub techno one-off revived twenty years on with a Priori rework and a Janeret dub. Old heads and new, handled properly.
