About this record
Beautiful, chord-driven and dub FX packed techno by Steve O'Sullivan. Precious Times finds Bluetrain working in that sweet spot where harmonic depth and spatial production collide - chords that breathe, reverb that hangs heavy, the kind of track design that rewards repeat listens on a proper system.
O'Sullivan's been a steadying hand in dub techno for years, and this Kontakt Records outing showcases exactly why. The production is meticulous without feeling sterile; there's space and air to these cuts, room for the dub aesthetic to do its work. Think patient builds, careful EQ moves, effects used as instruments rather than decoration.
Limited edition 12". Essential for anyone serious about contemporary dub techno.
