Beppu

Manchester producer Andrew Hargreaves returns as Beppu on UK imprint Lempuyang with a set of deep dub techno reworks that justify the hype. Deadbeat, Federsen, Merv, and Ohm & Octal Industries step up to the plate, each bringing their own approach to material that was already textured and considered. The result is smooth, evolving stuff - no sudden moves, just the kind of careful spatial work that rewards proper listening.

Lempuyang has consistently positioned itself in the deeper end of the dub techno spectrum, and this release sits comfortably there. These aren't attempts to make things more digestible. Instead, each remix adds layers, pulls things apart, lets them breathe. If you've got the time and the right speakers, this is for the dub heads who understand that repetition and small changes are where the detail lives.
