Ackermann

Great outro EP, perfect to close a set, by our good friend Ackermann. Count The Dead And Wait For Morning delivers exactly what it promises - different versions of the title track that build atmosphere and tension, plus the additional techno stomper X9 to round things out.

Ackermann has crafted something deliberately paced here. The variations on the title track explore the same core idea from different angles, letting the dub techno and deep techno aesthetics breathe. It's the kind of record that rewards listening in full, especially in a DJ context where the sequencing and flow between tracks matters.

Released on Safe Space Records, this sits comfortably in that deeper, more considered corner of techno - the sort of thing that works as well in a closing hour as it does on its own terms at home.
