About this record
Music to sip espresso martinis to. The Pure Shores series continues after a very sought-after first edition from 2020. This is a balearic-infused deep tech house 2-tracker that demands to be heard at the beach, ideally with the Mediterranean in view and a cold drink in hand.
Youandewan's approach here sits somewhere between the meditative pulse of deep house and the architectural precision of tech house - there's warmth in the production, but it's built on solid foundations. The balearic sensibility lifts the material beyond straightforward club fare; these are tracks that breathe, that have space around them.
Pure Shores as a series has proven itself a reliable marker of taste since its inception. This second edition reinforces that promise, delivering exactly what the imprint's name suggests: escapism with substance, designed for listening that's both engaged and effortless.
