About this record
Detroit veteran Walt J lands on Prince of Hydro's Lost Control 2097 with four deep house cuts that sit right at the intersection of soulful and hypnotic. The Traveller EP reworks 'Love Petals' into something even more immersive, then closes with a Prince of Hydro Soulmix that feels like the perfect comedown after a long night.
Walt J's pedigree in the Motor City underground runs deep, and this release confirms what regulars already know: he understands the architecture of deep house at a molecular level. These aren't flashy tracks - they're the kind of records you'll reach for on repeat, each one revealing new details with time.
Lost Control 2097 continues its run of intelligent house music, and The Traveller EP fits naturally into a label catalogue that respects both tradition and forward motion. Four sides of proper house music for people who actually listen.
