About this record
10 out of 10 techno finesse. This is another Ostgut Ton various spanning three well-known names, artists who frequently play the Big House circuit and know how to move a room.
Ostgut Ton's various compilations have always functioned as reliable snapshots of the Berlin techno conversation - a label practically synonymous with the sound of Berghain and its surrounding ecosystem. Zehn / Zehn pairs heavyweight names with the kind of locked-in production that only emerges when you're writing for dancefloors you understand intimately.
Straightforward, efficient techno. No filler. If you're after that particular Berlin deep-house-to-techno sensibility done properly, this lands exactly where it should.
