About this record
Corsican producer Valerj lands on Ivan Smagghe and Niv Arzi's Customs & Faces with cfv002, a release that's already circulating in the sets of its architects. 'Of Course' in particular has become the standout - Roman Flügel's remix is the one that crystallizes what makes this work. Smagghe and Nic Arizona are already playing it, which tells you something about the calibre here.
Valerj's approach sits comfortably in the deeper end of house and tech house - precise, considered, built for the floor but never sacrificing intention for immediate impact. Customs & Faces has established itself as a label for producers who understand that restraint and detail matter as much as groove. This 12" reinforces that sensibility across a compact, focused package.
A record for those who trust the selectors and follow the label rather than chasing names. cfv002 rewards careful listening and careful playing.
