Unknown Artist

Debut 12" on Creature from 2016. Anonymous minimal/house three-tracker - label has kept artist identity tight across its whole run, and that anonymity serves the work well here. Three tracks of disciplined, understated house that prioritises restraint over gesture. No flourishes, no narrative arc seeking your attention - just the fundamentals stripped back and reconsidered.

Creature's first release establishes the label's aesthetic cleanly. Minimal house that trusts empty space, that lets a single filtered loop or drum pattern breathe across five or six minutes. The kind of record that sounds better in a club at 4am than it does on your headphones, though it rewards both contexts. Limited information, limited production, maximum effect.

A proper underground first statement - no marketing, no biography, just the music. Exactly the kind of thing Creature would return to across its catalogue.
