About this record
DJ Tony Y Not brings her signature free-spirited approach to Kompakt Exklusiv, weaving techy acid, progressive cuts, and dark disco textures into two compelling sides. This is her sound - playful, intelligent, unafraid to shift registers - applied to the German label's distinctive house framework.
Have You Lost Your Mind? sits at the intersection of acid house and tech-house, built on lean, propulsive drums and the kind of synth work that rewards close listening. Moonshots follows, maintaining momentum while opening up space for darker, more introspective moments. Tony Y Not's touch is evident throughout: there's heart in these tracks, alongside the technical precision.
Kompakt Exklusiv continues to document contemporary house music that refuses easy categorisation. This 12" is essential for those who understand that the best dance music operates on multiple frequencies at once.
