Tiago Miranda

Interesting US house import. Deep, melancholic, rare. Inbetween acid house and trip hop. This is the kind of record that sits somewhere between the mechanical pulse of acid and the atmospheric sprawl of trip hop - never quite landing in either camp, which is exactly what makes it work.

Tiago Miranda operates in the margins of house music, pulling from the acidic synth textures and squelching filters that defined Chicago's second wave, but pushing them through a distinctly melancholic lens. There's restraint here, space between the elements. TRNWRK has built a reputation for finding these kinds of leftfield house records - material that refuses easy categorization, that rewards close listening over dancefloor immediacy.

Untitled II is the third release on the label and a reminder that the most interesting house music isn't always the loudest. Deep, considered, and built for understanding rather than just moving bodies.
