Detroit-leaning techno EP from Tils on Berlin's Magic Power. Greetings from Haan & Detroit. This is the sound of two cities colliding - the stripped-back, hypnotic blueprints of Motor City techno meeting the experimental rigour of the Berlin underground. Tils brings that particular strain of deep, mechanical groove that refuses to soften or compromise, built on locked-in drums and the kind of minimal synth work that rewards close listening.

The centrepiece here is a Max Watts remix of 'Airfoil', which relocates the original into territory that's even more sparse and propulsive - a masterclass in tension and release from one of the underground's most thoughtful producers. Magic Power continues to prove itself as a label that understands the lineage between Detroit's legacy and contemporary European techno, and this EP sits firmly in that conversation.
