About this record
Debut release on Swin's own Canny Records, and already heading for a repress. Four deep, dubby house cuts from this North East UK producer that justify the early enthusiasm.
Swin brings a measured, spacious approach to house music here - the kind of record that rewards close listening. These tracks breathe, with plenty of room for effects and texture to work themselves into your consciousness. There's a tech house sensibility to the architecture, but the soul is properly dubby, rooted in that patient, reverb-soaked philosophy where a single element can carry a track for bars on end.
A confident statement of intent from a producer and label owner with clear ideas about what they want to hear and how to make it happen.
