Orbital

Repress alert. Orbital's landmark 1991 debut is back on vinyl after a decade out of print, and it's been remastered by the Hartnolls themselves. This is the one that changed everything - a record that proved electronic music could be orchestral, euphoric, and utterly essential all at once. Belfast alone justifies the investment.

The Green Album arrived at the exact moment rave culture needed reinvention. Where harder UK techno was getting relentless, Orbital found space, melody, and narrative arc. These are sprawling, immersive tracks built on analogue synthesis and a genuine sense of discovery - the pair weren't afraid of silence, of letting a pad breathe, of building from near-nothing into something transcendent.

First issued in 1991 on London Records, this remaster restores the original vision with clarity the worn copies never quite achieved. Essential listening for anyone who thinks electronic music peaked in the 90s, and proof that some records only get better with age.
