About this record
Old school house from Canada on Toronto's Jinxx Records. This is a limited press with a Nick Holder remix that hits differently - the kind of record that reminds you why house music works best when it's stripped back and honest.
M1 built something properly functional here. Luv 2 Dance has the bones of early 90s Toronto house - warm, unpretentious, built for the dancefloor without overthinking it. The Holder remix adds another layer worth hunting for, which is precisely why Jinxx pressed this tight.
Jinxx Records was doing important work in the 90s, documenting the city's house scene at street level. Limited runs like JX-018 are the records people still dig for. If you're after genuine old school house rather than the retro simulacrum, this is essential.
