Liam Sinigoi

North London's Liam Sinigoi returns to his own Nonsono imprint for only their second release. Four tracks of considered, unrushed house and techno that reward close listening. 'Orbiting Voices' is the standout - a hypnotic build that lives up to its name, voices and synths circling each other across nearly seven minutes.

Sinigoi works in progressive house and minimal techno territory, the kind of music that doesn't announce itself but rather unfolds. There's restraint here, a confidence in space and silence. The EP sits comfortably between deep listening and dancefloor function, never quite settling into one camp.

Nonsono as a label is emerging as a serious prospect for this kind of underground work. Two releases in and they're already showing taste and consistency. Worth paying attention to.
