About this record
Minimal house from Berlin-based Australian Katie Drover with beautiful, timeless grooves. She launched the Carpet/Patterns sub-label from Lisbon back in 2018, and this debut release on Carpet & Snares shows exactly why - stripped-back, hypnotic production that moves with intent rather than urgency.
Theorem EP distils the essence of minimal house: precise drum programming, breathing space, and enough melodic restraint to let the rhythm do the heavy lifting. This is music built for sustained listening and the dancefloor alike - no filler, no compromise.
A strong first statement from Drover that announced her as a serious voice in contemporary minimal house. The kind of record that rewards repeated plays.
