About this record
Katie Drover's debut EP on Pleasure Zone is a masterclass in restraint. Four tracks of minimal to micro house that prioritize space and texture over spectacle - the kind of record that rewards close listening and late-night speakers. Drover, Melbourne-born and now Berlin-based, brings a distinctly considered approach to the micro genres, each track a study in what happens when you strip things back to their essentials.
Pleasure Zone has long championed this kind of thoughtful minimalism, and Pickle Jar sits comfortably within that lineage. These aren't showstoppers; they're the records that make you lean in, that make a room feel different at 3am. Four pieces of genuine craft on 12-inch vinyl.
