About this record
Repress due to high demand. This one pushes Berg Audio's sound into more overtly electroish and acid territories. Havantepe crafts four tracks that sit comfortably between deep techno frameworks and acid-tinged electro, with plenty of dub space carved into the production. There's a clarity here that sets it apart from Berg Audio's usual depths - acid lines cut through without losing the sub-weight that defines the label's approach.
Calculite finds its best moments where those acid and electro elements meet the dub sensibility that Berg Audio has built their name on. Not a pure acid record, not pure dub, but a thoughtful synthesis that rewards repeated listens. Essential for anyone following the label's trajectory.
