About this record
London veteran Grant Dell (aka Chicago Transit Authority) digs the archives for four unheard nuggets on Austrian label Rhythm Trax. These are vault finds that capture Dell at his most resourceful, lifting material from sessions past and presenting them with the clarity they always deserved.
Dell has been a fixture in the deeper end of house music for decades, moving between aliases and labels with the kind of rigour that keeps him under the radar of the mainstream but absolutely essential to those paying attention. Rhythm Trax, the Austrian imprint behind this release, has made a career out of excavating exactly this sort of material - archival deep house and tech house that refuses easy categorisation.
Four tracks across the 12 inch. House and tech house that breathes, built on the kind of patience and craft that only comes from years spent understanding how a floor moves. This is Dell's vault opened up.
