About this record
Repress of a Floorplan classic that stands as timeless Detroit techno. Never Grow Old has aged better than most - the kind of record that sounds as essential now as it did on first release.
Floorplan is Robert Hood's project, and this M-Plant repress captures two tracks that sit at the intersection of stripped-back Detroit minimalism and hypnotic groove. The A-side never overcomplicates things: it builds on clean synth lines and a locked-in drum foundation that rewards patience. This is techno for people who understand that restraint and repetition are features, not bugs.
The repress gives the original another life on vinyl. 45 RPM pressing, 12-inch format - the format matters for records like this. Essential for collectors of proper Detroit sound and anyone after techno that doesn't chase trends.
