About this record
UK Progressive House anthems from the golden year 2000. Uplifting stuff to make a crowd feel good to. This compilation captures that sweet spot when progressive house was genuinely euphoric without losing its dancefloor credibility - the kind of records that built genuine community on the floor rather than just moving bodies through space.
Dance Train Classics Vol. 2 on 541 is a proper snapshot of the UK progressive scene at its peak. Y2K was when the sound had matured enough to be sophisticated but still knew how to hit, and this collection proves it. Expect the kind of tracks that reward both focused listening and sweaty basement dancing.
If you were there in 2000, this sits right in that pocket. If you weren't, it's honest documentation of what made UK progressive house matter.
