About this record
Soulful, classic Chicago sound from our friend Cinthie of Elevate Records. This is indeed music for the discothéque - four tracks cut at 45 RPM that sit right in that sweet spot between deep house and purposeful techno, designed for bodies and floor rather than headphone contemplation.
Cinthie's approach here is refreshingly straightforward: stripped-back arrangements, warm Detroit-influenced synthesisers, and the kind of groove that rewards repeated listening both at home and in the booth. The Heist imprint continues its track record of releasing records that sound as good on a quality hi-fi as they do through a proper club system.
Essential for anyone after house music that doesn't announce itself but settles in permanently.
