Ballan

Gun fingers up. Big speed garage infused tech house rollers from London on white label. Ballan comes through with two properly propulsive tracks that sit somewhere between the breakneck energy of garage and the mechanical groove of contemporary tech house.

Different Shapes and Eurocup Mess are built on that distinctive UK garage velocity - fast hats, syncopated rhythms, the kind of momentum that makes you move without thinking. But there's a tech house solidity underneath, a respect for the 4/4 that keeps everything locked and dancefloor-ready rather than jittery. Ba Dum Tish continues to carve out its own lane with releases like this: raw, unadorned, designed for DJs who understand that the best records don't need bells and whistles, just quality groove and forward motion.
