Traumer is Romain Reynaud, a French DJ and producer now based in Paris. He grew up in Avignon, down in the Provence region, before moving to the capital for music, and over the past decade or so has become one of France's most respected names in the minimal and house world.

His sound today is all deep grooves, hypnotic rhythms and refined sound design, but it wasn't always that way. His 2011 debut came on Skryptöm, followed by a run of straight techno EPs that bear little resemblance to the Traumer of now. The shift came around 2016, when a growing love of the minimal sounds coming out of Bucharest, artists like Rhadoo, Raresh and Petre Inspirescu, led him to found his own label, get—traum. Tracks like "Ijah," "Whisky Roll" and "Lucea" have since made it a reliable home for elegant, groove-led minimal house.

These days the label is his main focus, built out through showcases, records from friends he rates, and collaborations that reach beyond music. He also works under a handful of other aliases, and his energetic sets, packed with unreleased material and secret edits, have made him a firm favourite at venues like fabric, Rex Club, Shelter and Hï Ibiza.
