About this record
Fresh 2026 three-tracker on The Mountain People's own Swiss imprint. Edition of 500. Mountain008.3 from 2009 gets its first vinyl outing here, remastered at Schnittstelle Berlin.
The Mountain People have spent nearly two decades refining a sound that sits at the precise intersection of minimal and tech house - stripped back, propulsive, and built for sustained listening rather than quick payoffs. This release captures that sensibility across three tracks that feel less like a showcase and more like a conversation between producers who know exactly what they're doing.
Mountain People's own label has become essential listening for anyone interested in European minimal without the pretension. This reissue underscores why their earlier work holds up: the detail work, the restraint, the understanding that sometimes less really does function better. Vinyl format adds weight to material that's always been about substance.
