About this record
Eleventh release on French minimal and microhouse label AKTA Records, and Silat Beksi proves why he belongs there. This is microhouse done right - stripped back, hypnotic, and built to move bodies on the dancefloor rather than impress in headphones.
Beksi's Ukrainian sensibility brings a particular sharpness to the minimal template. The tracks here sit in that sweet spot between abstract texture and concrete groove, where a single filtered loop or drum pattern becomes the entire world. AKTA's house sound - precise, unadorned, deeply functional - is a natural fit for his approach.
Pressed to 180g vinyl for the full weight and presence these tracks deserve. This is the kind of record that rewards patient listening at volume.
