Silat Beksi
Based in Ukraine
Silat Beksi is a Ukrainian DJ, producer and sound engineer from Odessa, making music since the early 2000s. He grew up drawn to the underground minimal techno and house sounds coming out of Europe, and that early influence still shapes his distinctive style: deep, hypnotic grooves and intricate, detailed soundscapes.
He blends minimal, microhouse, house and breakbeat into rich, groove-led tracks made for people who like to get lost in the music for a while. His debut album "Snake In The Eagle's Shadow" showed his knack for pairing rhythmic complexity with subtle melody, and later releases like "Cosmic Club" and "Pigments" built on that reputation among minimal fans around the world.
As the founder of Modeight Records he has also given a platform to emerging artists, and he is closely tied to labels like Tzinah and Mulen. More recently his tracks have landed on the likes of Cadenza, Rawax and Pleasure Zone, with warmth, detail and rhythm always doing the talking.
