Melchior Productions

Thomas Melchior's Melchior Productions returns with pianist Mischa Blanos for Jupiter Tracks Pt 1, out on his own My King Is Light imprint in 2025. This is the sort of record that shifts quickly into repress territory, and Spirit Of 23 is already proving why - a tightly wound microhouse excursion built on Blanos' restless piano work and Melchior's precise production touch. The EP sits at the intersection of Berlin's minimal house tradition and the more granular, textural end of the microhouse spectrum, where space matters as much as sound.

Melchior's own label has become essential listening for anyone tracking the current state of European house music - he's never content with obvious moves, and this collaboration with Blanos demonstrates exactly why. The piano isn't ornamental; it drives the architecture of each track, threading through loops and rhythmic patterns that reward close listening on a proper system. This is house music for people who still believe in the edit, the drop, and the weight of restraint.
