Berlin's top tier DJ Shonky is back with a slapping EP on Ivan Smagghe & Niv Arzi's Customs & Faces. Enriching the already sick a*s label catalog with his inbetween techno and house approach. Four solid and trippy tracks with electroish tendencies.

About this record
Four tracks of solid house and techno that tip into the trippy. Centro Sociali is the standout here - the kind of track that justifies spinning a record start to finish. Shonky delivers electro textures and locked-in rhythms across the EP, never settling into obvious territory.
Customs & Faces continues to build something interesting under Ivan Smagghe and Niv Arzi's watch. This is house and techno music that respects the dancefloor but doesn't pretend it exists in a vacuum. The production has weight and character - these aren't preset exercises.
A proper four-tracker for people who still want their dance music to ask questions.
