Secret State

Electro and techno fusion from Sheffield's CPU Records. Four solid tracks that sit in a jackin', spaced-out electro pocket - footwork and juke tendencies woven through without ever feeling obvious or derivative. This is the kind of stuff that rewards repeated listening; unique from the moment the needle drops.

Secret State works the space between hard-edged electro and the kinetic impulses of UK bass culture. There's precision in the arrangements, but they never lose that essential looseness - the records that matter rarely do.

Central Processing Unit continues to champion forward-thinking electronic music from the Midlands and North. Zero Zero One sits perfectly in their catalogue: unfussy, inventive, and built for both the head and the floor.
