About this record
Dutch legend on Kompakt, masterfully channeling his deep love for Detroit techno and Chicago house. Orlando Voorn returns with No Cellphones, a four-track EP that strips back the noise and recalibrates toward what matters - the groove, the hypnotic pulse, the conversation between machines and bodies on a dancefloor.
Voorn's been essential since the early '90s, and this release sits comfortably in his wheelhouse: tech-house that breathes, that thinks, that doesn't shout. Kompakt's production standards ensure every bass line, every hi-hat roll, every filtered synth sweep lands with precision. The result is a record built for late-night precision and forward motion.
Essential for anyone serious about house music that respects its lineage while moving it forward.
