About this record
Sought-after tech house bomb straight outta London. Four dependable and stripped back grooves with utmost functionality. Ollie Drummond delivers exactly what the floor needs on this debut for Brixton Row - no filler, no flourishes, just the kind of lean, purpose-built tracks that move bodies and keep DJs returning to the decks night after night.
BR001 establishes the imprint's aesthetic immediately: functional deep house and tech house that trusts the dancefloor to do the thinking. Drummond's approach here is refreshingly minimal - tight drums, decisive bass, and the kind of restraint that's become rare. Each groove is engineered for longevity and repetition, the sort of record you'll reach for across multiple seasons because it simply works.
A solid first statement from both artist and label.
