namastrange

Namastrange and Pletnev join forces on this breaks-leaning tek house debut collaboration, released on Brooklyn's Earth Dog imprint. The pairing threads San Francisco's namastrange with Barcelona's Pletnev, two names embedded in their respective underground scenes, delivering something that sits comfortably between the swing of breaks and the propulsion of modern tech house.

Desire Machine is the A-side, a track that moves with intent across its runtime. The B-side flip brings Jek's remix, offering another angle on the material. Both cuts are built for the floor but with the kind of production depth that rewards headphone listening.

Earth Dog continues its run of uncompromising releases, ED013 marking another step in the label's trajectory since its Brooklyn base. This is house music that knows where it comes from, played by people who understand the difference between reference and substance.
