MiG-29

Eclectic, genre-fluid 6-tracker from Parisian producer MiG-29 on London's Cyberdome (1Ø Pills Mate sublabel). This is exactly the kind of record that justifies the term 'genre-fluid' - trance textures bleed into progressive house grooves, downtempo passages break into trip hop rhythms, techno elements creep in uninvited and somehow it all works. Digital Dreamscapes doesn't announce itself; it accumulates, unfolds, reveals itself across six tracks that feel less like a traditional EP and more like a producer thinking out loud across multiple moods and tempos.

MiG-29 operates in that understated pocket where production discipline meets genuine experimentation. The work here is meticulous without being sterile, adventurous without losing the thread. Cyberdome's aesthetic - rooted in exploratory electronic music that respects club culture without being enslaved to it - suits this approach perfectly.

A record for listening seriously, not background decoration. The kind of thing you'll circle back to and notice something new.
