Mathew Jonson

Mathew Jonson and Sebastian Mullaert deliver two long-form cuts for the heads on UK label Hypercolour. This is tribalish, deep, minimal and overall trippy music. Warning: not suitable for people with pollen allergies.

Jonson's work has long sat at the intersection of ambient meditation and dub techno. Here, paired with Mullaert's sensibility, the pair strip things back to essentials - hypnotic rhythms, textural layering, and plenty of space to breathe. These are tracks designed for deep listening and patient DJ sets, the kind that reward you the more you lean in.

Hypercolour continues its track record of commissioning thoughtful, immersive house and techno from artists who understand restraint. Two sides of vinyl that unfold slowly, deliberately, and with real purpose.
